About The Towing Playbook
For more than 17 years, I've worked in the towing industry from nearly every angle imaginable.
I've answered phones in the middle of the night, worked roadside in blizzards, recovered vehicles in ditches and accident tows. I've managed drivers and dispatchers, handled customer complaints, chased unpaid invoices, repaired equipment in the middle of the day and the middle of the night. I have built systems, procedures and helped grow towing businesses from the ground up.
Like many people in this industry, I didn't start with a grand business plan. I started by showing up, working hard, solving problems and learning the hard way.
Over time, I began noticing something... Most towing companies had the same challenges. Training is inconsistent. Procedures often only exist in someone's head. New employees learn through trial and error, Owners work long hours putting out fires while trying to keep trucks moving and customers happy.
The systems that make a company successful are rarely written down.
That's why I created the Towing Playbook.
What started as a collection of forms, checklists and operating procedures for my own use eventually grew into something much bigger. It became a complete framework designed to help towing companies improve operations, train employees, create consistency and build businesses that don't rely on a sigle person holding everything together.
The Towing Playbook is not based on theory, or built by someone sitting in an ivory tower.
It was built through real-world experience, thousands of service calls, years of mistakes, hard lessons and continuous improvement. I am still learning everyday.
My goal is simple:
To help towing companies, drivers, Dispatchers and business owners avoid some of the struggles I experienced and give them practical tools they can use immediately.
